A little bit about me, Having immigrated to Canada from Italy, I deeply understand the challenges of adjusting to a new culture while holding onto your traditions. Growing up in a family where education was more emphasized for my brothers, my passion for learning blossomed early on. This love for knowledge has remained a central part of my life, with reading coming in a close second—my home is often filled with books scattered around, reflecting this lifelong curiosity.
When I'm not immersed in learning or reading, I find peace in my garden. Gardening, hardscaping, and landscaping have become my personal retreat, and I often encourage my clients to connect with nature for emotional grounding. One of my favorite practices, which I share with clients, is 'tree showering'—an unconventional yet powerful way to reconnect with nature's healing energy.
From an early age, I felt a strong calling to help others. Whether mediating conflicts among classmates or encouraging patience and understanding, I was always drawn to supporting those around me. This passion ultimately led me to pursue a career in psychotherapy, and it’s why I started First Step Psychotherapy—to help individuals navigate their healing journeys. I believe that trauma touches everyone in some form, and everyone deserves a safe, nonjudgmental space to heal.
As a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), I place great importance on building a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients. This relationship is the foundation of our work together, and while I provide support and empathy, I also believe in challenging my clients to bring about meaningful change. My ultimate goal is to empower individuals with coping strategies they can use beyond therapy, fostering their growth and self-counseling abilities

Acceptance Commitment Therapy(ACT)
